Teapot is being actively developed. Now that the Mac version has been released, new features will be developed first on the Mac version, then ported over to the iOS version. By making them available for Mac users first, we will be able to fully develop new features without the restrictions for size and orientation necessary for iOS versions. It will be easier to port finished features to iOS and add whatever is needed to fit the multitude of iOS device screen sizes.

Some of the new features planned are…

1) Support for multiple stations. Users will be able to created station profiles and quickly change stations to view their additional weather observations.

2) Historical information. Users will be able to view a synopsis of various observations from their Tempest history including highest and lowest readings for temperature, humidity, rainfall, winds, etc. Additionally, users will be able to compare days, months and years against current readings.

3) Graphs and charts, Users will be able to graph live and historical readings using user defined criteria and have the ability to save favorite graph settings. Some graphs will likely be Mac only as they will require more screen space.

4) iCloud support so that settings can be saved by one device and other devices will simply use the common settings. This will make it easier for users with multiple iPhones and/or iPads.

5) Support for Davis weather stations. This may be limited to the Mac version, but we're working on ideas to merge weather data from a combination of Tempest and Davis stations as well as allow Davis stations to act as stand-alone stations.

Sure! This supports Family Sharing so you can install it on all your iDevices. You can also use the iPad version on a Mac with Apple silicon processors. The native Mac version will work on any Mac with macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or newer.

Go to the App Store on your additional devices and download the Teapot app.

Then tap on the Settings icon, If the Subscribe button is showing, tap on that button to go to the order page. Then tap on Restore Purchases at the bottom of the page. That will "license" that device for no extra charge.

Wind data is updated every 3 seconds. Other data is updated every 60 seconds. The radar map updated every 3 minutes.
